What can we expect from an artist who lives in both Americas, Europe & Asia, simultaneously?
Bart is a modern multi-influenced artist who is constantly exposed to worldly facts directly and presently, observing and interacting. He participates not only in great Art Fairs, but also in important contemporaneous events outside the artistic realm. These distinguished events inspire his work.
Work which is simply powerful. Simply, as his choice is to go basic, in essence, to reach one´s core. Using his very own iconographic style, through symbolisms and signs –almost prehistorically – his ideas come to life and intrigue us into reflection. Powerful, as the graphics are individually and collectively imperative, any part of it has a message of its own, as well as the whole.
Experimentation of elements, be it drawings, collages or words, break free from rigid formats. This graphical experimentation is also present in his poetry – concrete in style & witty in content.
Bart is a sophisticated rebel, with eyes on streets and palaces. His work reflects such contrast, his language is seductive, but the messages are rich. The word “art” isn´t part of his name by chance.
