Artist, printer, poet , he studied calligraphy in Beijing, China and Bantu Art in Libreville, Gabon and he was one of the first artists of the Neo-Symbolist Art in New Delhi in India and between the artists of the visual poetry in Italy.
He has embraced cultures, difference cults, rhythms and mystery traveling around the globe and his art reflects a cosmopolitan world full of energy.
The “bartusgraphies” as he himself defines them, are a sort of graphyzines, serigraphed books with a maniac care for detail… They are kind of works which talk to the world about world, through vignettes sometimes sarcastic, other times ironic, but never offensives. ..Kind of artists who are able to talk about the popular culture, using its own language with immediate codes, just like the advertisement art but with a different message. Not that one to sell objects dealing them for emotions or dreams but to communicate contents, ideas and reflections about contemporary.
Bartus Bartolomes, brings with him the baggage of experience in movement, of a vital art that crosses him and nourishes him of a new sap every day. And in his works we find the glance of the city with its moodiness, fine fug, the noise, the urban space.
Works, crossed by a wandering crazed of signs, symbols of contemporary mitographia, sometimes sharp, sometimes confused, frazzled in the labyrinth of communication.
The works in the show seem to be snatched from the street, in which emerges an exquisitely social and cultural matrix, far from that savage policy of the pavement.
A creative and multiform wave which embraces, literature, comics, 3 D-artwork and places him as an active protagonist on many contemporary projects.
